Whilst I clearly haven't been busying myself blogging, I have however been sewing up a storm. After seeing this a few months ago, I just knew I had to make a paper airplane inspired blanket for my little dudie.
And I did, well actually I made two. A blue one and a red one.
The plane is appliqued on to white quilters cotton with a satin stitch and the planes travel path is hand stitched using embroidery cotton (6 strands) and a simple running stitch.
The border is houndstooth strips sewn on the edges and they are backed with a mustard yellow polar fleece. So simple but super cozy and cute-to-boot!
One is for my little guy and the other is a gift for a friend expecting her first in a couple of months. Yay for little bubba's to cuddle!
